Sept. 12-19 Parent Teacher Conferences – Minimum Days.  Please make sure to let those picking up your child after school know that beginning Thursday, DISMISSAL is 1:00 pm for Kindergarten students and 1:15 pm for Grades 1-6 students.  For possible questions to ask click here.

Please collect spare change or make a donation to our Pennies for Patients service project to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Turn in your spare change or make an Online Donation.

Dance Team Auditions for the Camarena Dance Team take place this week in room 408 on Thursday and Friday this week from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm.

Camarena Birthday Book Club members will be celebrated each quarter for birthdays that fall during the months of that quarter.  This quarter includes birthdays in July, August and September.  Contact Rachel Murphy the school librarian for more information.  rachel.murphy@cvesd.org.  Membership is $20 and Birthday Books are eventually added to the school library.

Each Friday 6th grade will be selling Popsicle for $1.00 to support their end of the year activities.

Enter the The PTA Reflections Art Competion.  The theme for the 2019-2020 Reflections Art Program is “Look Within”!   Submit your entry to the Camarena PTA by Friday, October 11.   Categories included:

  • Literature
  • Photography
  • Film Production
  • Music Composition
  • Visual Arts  

JOIN PTA – One primary and One upper grade class will receive a popsicle party for recruiting the most members!

District Americanism Essay Contest sponsored by the local Elks Lodge.

DISTRICT INFO:

Monday, Sept. 16 at 6:00 pm in Room C at the Chula Vista School District on 84 E. J Street, parents of students in grades 4-6 will have the opportunity to learn about the Adolescent Growth Education (AGE) program provided for students.

Saturday, October 19 7:30 am – 12:00 5th Annual Parent Academy at Vista Square Elementary.  Breakfast is provided for FREE! This is a great opportunity for parents throughout the district to network with other parents.
