Monday, October 11 through Friday, October 15 Boo Grams will be on sale this week only during the morning before school at 7:45 am next to the blacktop and after school at 2:45 pm near the flagpole at the front of the school. Delivery of Boo Grams will be on October 28.

Tuesday, October 12 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and every Tuesday thereafter Volunteers will be processed.  Bring your COVID Vaccination Card and TB Clearance to the school office and you will be given the LiveScan Fingerprinting form and Volunteer Agreement.  Once you have completed the fingerprinting you will be cleared to volunteer on campus.  Due to the many responsibilities of office staff, Volunteer Processing will only be on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

A Few Reminders:
  • We do not offer a delivery service nor do we ask students to leave class to pick up forgotten items.  Please make sure to have your child prepared before coming to school.
  • If students are absent and the Attendance Health Secretary has not been informed as to the reason for the absence, the student will not be able to go to class when they return to school until we have this information.  
  • Appropriate clothing for school is outlined in our Parent Handbook.  All private parts and stomachs/bellies should be appropriately covered.  Shoes should be closed toed and appropriate for PE and running around.

Tuesday, October 5 8:15 am School Starts and Students Return.  It is a regular school day schedule not minimum day.  Dismissal at 2:30 for Kindergarten and 2:45 for all other students.

Camarena School COVID Precautions:
  • Classrooms have designated seating and seating charts are provided to office staff
  • Classes have designated tables during lunch
  • All students and staff wear mask while on campus except during Snack, PE, Recess and Breakfast/Lunch (while actively eating or drinking)
  • All classrooms and building spaces have Hepa Air Purifiers 
  • Outdoor canopies are available for outdoor instruction (weather permitting)
  • Classrooms are disinfected after school every day
  • Students who have COVID like symptoms wait in the conference room in the office (isolation area) for pick up and not with other students in the health office.

IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Masks are required at all times when on school property until further notice.  Also, Immediate testing is now required for those doing modified (on campus quarantine) must leave campus and show negative test before return.  The Antigen Test is allowable for Asymptomatic Close Contacts Only.

Monday, August 30 New COVID Guidelines begin.  Per CVESD Board Policy all adults must wear masks when on any school district property regardless of vaccination status.
