It’s time for our annual survey to gather input on our Local Control Accountability Plan, or LCAP.  LCAP shapes our District’s goals and guides our budgeting priorities,  Join in on the conversation from February 1- April 1, 2023, to share your thoughts, see the thoughts of others, and prioritize the most important.

Safety Reminders

  • Dogs are not allowed on campus.  If you plan to include a dog walk on your way to and from school, you will need to say goodbye to your child at the edge of our school property.
  • Please don’t drop off or pick up in the bus loop.  This area is reserved for school transportation vehicles only.

School-Wide Expectations

  • Congratulations to Ms. Tsutsumi’s and Ms. Barrett’s classes for earning 20 class Robo Tickets!  They will receive a popcorn party with an extra recess!

Spring 2023 Junior Academy Program

The Chula Vista Elementary School District has partnered with YMCA Expanded Learning Programs to offer students in TK-6th grade a FREE program opportunity. The Junior Academy Program will offer a wide variety of academic and fun enrichment activities including field trips.  Please click on the link for more information.

Kids Heart Challenge

THANKS for a GREAT Jump Rope Event!  A special shout out to our 3 amazing staff members that helped to organize this school event!- Ms. Lopez Solis, Ms. Esparza, and Ms. Blas!

WE DID IT! WE MET OUR SCHOOL GOAL

Camarena Elementary continues to be known as the #1 school in all of San Diego County for the support it gives to the American Heart Association.  Thanks for all the support to keep kids heart healthy.

Special School Incentives:

  • The class with the most students registered will get a smoothie party, and each student in that class will receive a Frankie keychain.
  • Mr. Soileau, Ms. Cardenas, and some of our dedicated staff will be getting PIED in the face!

YMCA Giving Campaign

If you were still looking to support a worthwhile organization, I would encourage you to help us meet our other giving goal- our local YMCA.  We are very fortunate that we have the YMCA connected to our school!  They are able to provided needed services to many of families.  We have raised $1,089 of our campus goal of $1,500.00, please click on the link and support our local Y that gives back to many of our Robo Griffins!
