Camarena School COVID Precautions:
  • Classrooms have designated seating and seating charts are provided to office staff
  • Classes have designated tables during lunch
  • All students and staff wear mask while on campus except during Snack, PE, Recess and Breakfast/Lunch (while actively eating or drinking)
  • All classrooms and building spaces have Hepa Air Purifiers 
  • Outdoor canopies are available for outdoor instruction (weather permitting)
  • Classrooms are disinfected after school every day
  • Students who have COVID like symptoms wait in the conference room in the office (isolation area) for pick up and not with other students in the health office.
FALL BREAK – SEPTEMBER 20 – OCTOBER 4. 
Students return Tuesday, October 5.
 
Traffic Safety Reminders:
  • Please Do not park in the the Pickup and Drop-off Zones
  • Please be patient and drive slowly through the parking lot
  • Do not call for your child to cross through the parking lot! Use sidewalks & crosswalks
  • Walk bikes, scooters, skateboards when on campus
  • Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children safe!

IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Masks are required at all times when on school property until further notice.  Also, Immediate testing is now required for those doing modified (on campus quarantine) must leave campus and show negative test before return.  The Antigen Test is allowable for Asymptomatic Close Contacts Only.

This quick survey will have a critical impact on your child(ren)’s support and services. We are requesting our families to submit the Local Control Funding Formula Collection Data form which determines the State and Federal funding that our school receives. This funding provides your child(ren) with support and resources for their academic success. Benefits for your child(ren) include: Instructional Materials, Classroom Technology, Additional Staffing, Extended Learning Opportunities for Students Before and After School Programs.  Click Here for the 2 question Survey.
 
VOLUNTEERS – The Volunteer In-service has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, October 5 at 6:00 pm and at this time will be virtual due to the new COVID restrictions.

Monday, August 30 New COVID Guidelines begin.  Per CVESD Board Policy all adults must wear masks when on any school district property regardless of vaccination status.
 
Monday, August 30 2:45 pm – 3:15 pm Safety Patrol Informational Meeting for all 5th & 6th grade students who are interested in the Auditorium.  Must wear masks.

VOLUNTEERS – There will be a Volunteer In-service on Tuesday, September 7 at 6:00 pm at the school.  Volunteering at Camarena is very much appreciated but in order to make sure that all conditions are safe we will begin allowing volunteers on the campus beginning in the 2nd Quarter (tentatively).
