Wednesday, November 3 at 6 pm CVESD will have Virtual Townhall meeting for all staff and parents/guardians of the Phase 4 solar project sites. The meeting will provide an overview of the District solar project, specific school site logistical information, and an opportunity for questions. Please note that construction for Camarena is scheduled to take place November – January in the parking lot at the front of the school. Please plan ahead to avoid traffic delays.

Student CAN wear Halloween Costumes to school on Friday but must follow these guidelines. There will not be a Costume Parade so costumes must be comfortable for wearing all day.
- NO full-face masks or theatrical makeup, weapon-like accessories (fake guns, swords, sickles, etc. or props (broomsticks, light savers, etc.).
- All private body parts must be covered appropriately
- No foul or inappropriate language or messages.
- Blood, guts, and gore are not allowed.
- Costumes must not require teacher assistance.
- Make sure students can easily use the restrooms.
- Costumes should allow students to play safely during recess and PE.
- Students are responsible for the care of their costumes. The school is not responsible for costumes that are lost or damaged.

Volunteer Processing every Tuesday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Bring your COVID Vaccination Card and TB Clearance to the school office and you will be given the LiveScan Fingerprinting form and Volunteer Agreement. Once you have completed the fingerprinting you will be cleared to volunteer on campus. Due to the many responsibilities of office staff, Volunteer Processing will only be on Tuesdays from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
Check out this Hand Sanitizer that will be available soon and some of the proceeds will go to our school. More information to come.

The California Department of Public Health created a series of short animated videos to assist parents in understanding different aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos review:

- What to do if Your Child is Exposed to COVID-19
The videos are available on the Parent Page of the Safe Schools for All Hub in English or the Parent Page of the Safe Schools for All Hub in Spanish.

Monday, October 11 through Friday, October 15 Boo Grams will be on sale this week only during the morning before school at 7:45 am next to the blacktop and after school at 2:45 pm near the flagpole at the front of the school. Delivery of Boo Grams will be on October 28.
Tuesday, October 12 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and every Tuesday thereafter Volunteers will be processed. A Few Reminders:
- We do not offer a delivery service nor do we ask students to leave class to pick up forgotten items. Please make sure to have your child prepared before coming to school.
- If students are absent and the Attendance Health Secretary has not been informed as to the reason for the absence, the student will not be able to go to class when they return to school until we have this information.
- Appropriate clothing for school is outlined in our Parent Handbook. All private parts and stomachs/bellies should be appropriately covered. Shoes should be closed toed and appropriate for PE and running around.
