You should receive an email today with your child’s teacher and room number. If you didn’t, you may obtain the information through the Home Access Center after 5:00. (HAC) is a browser-based student information system that allows you to view student information such as registration, attendance, discipline, and scheduling.
You must register for HAC with the email that you provided to the school during registration. Please contact the school if you forgot or recently changed your email or home address.

If you already have an account, click on login link at the bottom of this page. Otherwise, please register first. Guardians can create their own account by clicking on the icon or on “Click Here to Register for HAC” from the Home Access Center home page.
Once you have logged into your account, click on the icon that states registration, on the demographics page you will see HOMEROOM which is the room number and you will see HOMEROOM TEACHER which is your child’s teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
At Camarena, we follow a placement process that maximizes both positive academic and social experiences within the classroom. It is our commitment to place all children in an optimized learning environment where they will thrive and reach their fullest potential. Our goal is to create an equitable and balanced classroom environment that ensures the success of all students. The assignment of students to classes is a collective effort made by a placement team made up of teachers and school administration. Decisions for class placement are student-based using the following criteria: gender ratio, range of academic levels, language proficiency, past interactions, teacher’s knowledge, and special needs of students. Due to the delicate nature of creating equitable classes, we will not make any classroom adjustments at this time.
Staff will be available throughout the campus to help you find you class in the morning.
Traffic and Safety
- Traffic will be extremely heavy this week.
- When you enter the front parking lot, you will stay to the left if you want to park. If you want to drop off stay to the right.
- When dropping off, please stay to the right and pull all the way up to the second two story building. Students will need to independently exit the vehicle. Students will need to exit the vehicle on the yellow curbs.
- Please do not stop at the front flag pole area. This is a RED curb an there is NO parking or stopping next to the red curb.

Ms. Sienna, our Military and Family Life Counselor, is serving our military families again this year! The military counselors provide short-term, non-medical counseling to support military students through difficult adjustments, such as deployments, and improve your child’s emotional well being by engaging in fun, interactive activities in individual, group, and parent group sessions. Please ask your teacher for a permission slip today or call for more information at 619-214-2143.
School Site Council- Members Needed
We need to elect TWO parent representatives to Camarena’s School Site Council (SSC) for the 2023 – 2024 school year. The purpose of this council is to monitor the progress of our school plan, which includes the budgets to accompany it. Parent representatives provide valuable input concerning the curriculum and activities that expand the core curriculum assured by district categorical funding.
The School Site Council is an elected decision-making body for the school.
If you have the time and the interest to serve on the School Site Council (SSC), please email firstname.lastname@example.org. It is a wonderful opportunity to become very familiar with our school and help provide input into school-wide decision-making. This is a 2-year term. Sixth grade parents can serve only one year but may run in this election. If you are interested in having your name placed on the ballot, please fill out and return the information form below to Ms. Cardenas. SSC meetings are held monthly; 3:00-4:00 pm and they will be in person with a virtual option.
(ELAC) English Language Advisory Committee and (DELAC) District English Language Advisory Committee
ELAC is a school level elected committee of parents, staff, and community members designated to advise school officials on English Learner programs and services. If you are interested in being part of the committee please email email@example.com
Front Office Deliveries
We are unable to deliver items to classrooms. If a child forgets something at home we will not interrupt the learning of students and bring items to the classes. We can place it in the teacher’s box, but there is no guarantee that the item will be picked up.
