Fiesta is HERE and EVERYONE is invited!
Plan to join our entire school community on Friday, September 9 from 3:00-6:00! We will have food, fun, music, and performances by all of our DI students! Food vendors will be CASH only. This is our biggest fundraiser for our DI program so plan on a fun evening of food and entertainment. We are still looking for volunteers to help set up and take down.
Attendance Matters! Be here and on time!
Book Fair ends Friday Morning! NO CASH accepted!
Get Ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is in full swing! Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place until Friday MORNING, September 9th in the MPR.
This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Book Fair is open daily before and after school. Unfortunately, due to lack of volunteers, it isn’t open during the school day
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:

Free and Reduced Price Meals
Did you know that every student in Chula Vista Elementary School District is able to receive free breakfast and lunch everyday? That’s right! Every “Robo Griffin” has the opportunity to have a free breakfast (7:30-8:00) and lunch daily, but we do need your help. You should have received a GREEN application for free/reduced priced meals this week. It is crucial to our school funding to get back as many forms as possible, even if you don’t qualify. Please take the time to complete the form and return to your child’s teacher. Every student is eligible for FREE breakfast and lunch this year no matter what is identified on the green form.
Traffic Reminders
- Our student safety patrol started this week! Please be mindful and respectful when they are giving directions. They are student community workers trying to support the safety of ALL students.
- We are still seeing parents drop off in the bus loop. This is NOT safe and NOT allowed.
- After school from 2:45-3:00 there is NO LEFT TURN. Please obey the posted traffic signs for the safety of our students.
